Founder of Croke Medical law
I set up Croke Medical Law with a simple but powerful goal: to offer expert medical negligence advice with a compassionate, client-centred approach.
Medical negligence is a deeply personal and often devastating experience. I chose to specialise in this area because I’ve seen first-hand the difference that proper support and strong legal representation can make.
For over a decade, I’ve worked exclusively in plaintiff medical negligence litigation. I trained and practised with two of Ireland’s leading firms in this specialist area, gaining extensive experience across a wide range of complex cases — including birth injury, gynaecology, oncology, surgical injury, fatal injury, defective product, and brain and spinal injury claims.
During my time in those firms, I played a key role in securing the following settlements:
- €30 million for a young boy with cerebral palsy — a case that helped pave the way for higher awards for catastrophically injured plaintiffs.
- €128,000 for parents who suffered psychiatric injury after learning their premature baby had been left permanently blind due to negligent follow-up care.
- €50,000 for permanent nerve damage caused by a negligently performed blood procedure, in a case where liability was strongly contested.
- €7.1 million for a young girl left with life-changing spinal injuries following a delayed diagnosis of post-surgical complications
- €2.4 million interim settlement for a three-year-old boy injured at birth.
I was also part of the specialist solicitor team that established Ireland’s first-ever vaccine compensation scheme, created to compensate those injured by the Pandemrix vaccine. It was a groundbreaking development in Irish legal and medical history.
These experiences have shaped the meticulous, client-focused approach I bring to every case at Croke Medical Law.
